The "Jaadui Pitara" initiative, started by the Ministry of Education, includes engaging storybooks, toys, puzzles, puppets, posters, flashcards, worksheets, and more for learning at the foundational level.

The "Jaadui Pitara" has been created on the tenet of "learning by play," as anticipated in the new National Education Policy, and is intended as a child-centric, creative, toy-based learning experience that would increase conceptual understanding among the learners aged 3–8 years (NEP).

Jadui Pitara, which includes playbooks, toys, puzzles, posters, flashcards, storybooks, worksheets, and materials representing the local language, culture, and social context, is intended to arouse interest and meet the varied requirements of students at the foundational level.

The pitara, created under the National Curriculum Framework (NCF), is available in 13 Indian languages, "Dharmendra Pradhan, the union's minister of education, stated during the unveiling.

"As envisioned in the NEP, it is a significant step in enhancing the learning-teaching environment and making it more child-centric, dynamic, and enjoyable for the Future generation.

According to Pradhan, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) must use technology to translate the "Jadui Pitara" materials into all Indian languages and work to increase its reach and make it available to the SCERTS to change the landscape of early childhood education and the nation's educational system.

"The web and mobile app of the DIKSHA platform should offer these materials digitally. The mother tongue should be the primary language of instruction throughout, "said the minister.

According to him, the NCERT has created a trainers' handbook that maps the curricular objectives for upcoming teacher training programs at the foundational level.
